Description

The Certificate I in New Opportunities for Women (NOW) is a general education bridging program designed to support women seeking to re-enter the workforce, change career direction, or pursue further education and training.

It helps participants explore career options, build confidence, and develop the knowledge, skills, and academic foundations needed for future vocational or employment pathways, particularly supporting those who have been marginalised or disadvantaged to take control of their personal and professional development.

Packaging Rules
To achieve certification in the Certificate I in New Opportunities for Women (NOW), learners must complete:
- All four (4) core units listed below, plus
- A selection of elective units within range of 100-150 nominal hours

ELECTIVE UNITS
Elective units are allocated 100-150 nominal hours. See the table below for the suggested elective units.
- Elective units can be imported from either the suggested elective list below or any Accredited Course or endorsed Training Package qualification at AQF
level 1.
- A maximum of one (1) unit of competency can be imported from either the suggested elective list below, or from any Accredited Course or endorsed Training Package qualification at AQF level 2.

Units drawn from Training Packages or other Accredited Courses must comply with the Assessment Guidelines of that Training Package or Accredited Course.
