Apply basic mathematical processes
  • 1.1 Identify basic mathematical symbols of addition, subtraction, division and multiplication
  • 1.2 Apply mathematical symbols for everyday calculations
  • 1.3 Interpret written forms of mathematical symbols correctly
Interpret numbers
  • 2.1 Identify and use whole numbers, fractions, decimals and percentages
  • 2.2 Interpret place, face and whole value of a digit in decimal numbers
  • 2.3 Identify and use common vocabulary for ordering/comparing numbers
  • 2.4 Identify and use common vocabulary for interpreting graphs and charts
Interpret forms of measurement
  • 3.1 Identify and apply common units of measurement and their abbreviations
  • 3.2 Use measuring tools to measure and compare materials and objects
Perform simple mathematical calculations
  • 4.1 Perform basic calculations in addition, subtraction, division and multiplication correctly
  • 4.2 Demonstrate the correlation between fractions, decimals and percentages
  • 4.3 Convert fractions and mixed numbers to decimals
  • 4.4 Identify and use calculator function keys to perform basic mathematical calculations
