Description
This qualification provides a pathway to build an individual's knowledge and awareness of skills applicable to the Defence working environment.
This qualification is suitable for delivery through VET delivered to Secondary Students, Australian Defence Force Cadets, and other youth development programs.
Graduates with this qualification:
work safely and responsibly in supervised environments, following workplace health and safety procedures
operate effectively as part of a team
communicate clearly and follow instructions, using organisational protocols and communications systems
use basic workplace technologies, including digital devices and business software, to complete routine tasks
navigate and operate in outdoor environments.

Packaging Rules
Nine (9) units of competency are required for this qualification comprising:- Five (5) core units listed below, plus
- Four (4) elective units
Choose two (2) elective units from the electives list.
The remaining (2) elective units may be chosen from the elective unit list below or from another currently endorsed training package or accredited course.
Elective units from outside the below list must ensure the integrity of the qualification’s Australian Qualifications Framework level and contribute to an industry-supported vocational outcome.
