Description
This skill set will give new entrants the skills and knowledge to work safely in the civil construction industry, communicate effectively on work sites and how to plan work in relation to infrastructure activities.
Pathway Information
These units of competency provide credit towards a range of pathways in the resources and infrastructure industry including the qualification RII20720 Certificate II in Civil Construction.
Licensing / Regulatory Information
Individuals that successfully complete unit CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry will be eligible for the Construction Induction permit, also known as a Whitecard, issued according to the Occupational Safety and Health Regulations 1996, which set out mandatory requirements for the provision of construction safety induction training, for employees or self-employed people doing construction work at a workplace in Western Australia.
