Description
This skill set is designed to provide individuals with skills and knowledge to introduce an assistance dog to a handler.
Pathway Information
These units of competency provide credit towards ACM40322 Certificate IV in Animal Behaviour and Training. Given that this is an introductory skill set, its successful completion does not qualify a candidate to instruct assistance dog handlers.
Licensing / Regulatory Information
No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this skill set at the time of publication.
Target Group
This skill set is for individuals who are experienced dog trainers and play a role in introducing and training handlers of assistance dogs.
