Description
This Skill Set is for individuals who pilot rail traffic on the rail network within a rail operations environment.For this Skill Set, a pilot is defined as a route current qualified worker, who accompanies, directs and advises rail traffic crew about track works, speed restrictions, signal locations, wayside equipment, station locations and other aspects that may affect operation of rail traffic based on known performance of rolling stock.

The TLISS00232 Pilot Rail Traffic Skill Set is part of the TLI Transport and Logistics Training Package and may contribute to Certificate II in Rail Track Vehicle Driving, Certificate III in Rail Infrastructure, Certificate III in Terminal Train Driver or Certificate IV in Train Driving qualifications.
