Description
This skill set addresses the skills, knowledge and performance requirements for assisting with the staging of festivals and events.
Pathway Information
The units provide credit towards CUA20215 Certificate II in Creative Industries, CUA30415 Certificate III in Live Production and Services, CUA40415 Certificate IV in Live Production and Technical Services, CUA50415 Diploma of Live Production and Technical Services and other qualifications that allow for selection of these units.
Licensing / Regulatory Information
Sets and staging for some performances or events may fall within the definition of construction work. If so, people entering the construction site are required to complete the general induction training program specified by the National Code of Practice for Induction Training for Construction Work (Australian Safety Compensation Council, May 2007). The unit ‘CPCCOHS1001A Work safely in the construction industry’ fulfils this requirement.
The National Standard for Licensing Persons Performing High Risk Work applies to the performance of dogging work and the operation of forklift trucks and boom-type elevating work platforms.
