Description
This job ready skill set will familiarise candidates wishing to gain employment as a Drillers’ Offsider with the demands of the occupation and provide them with entry level skills and experience which is valued by the drilling sector.
The mandatory work experience component of the skill set will offer a mutually beneficial opportunity for students, in terms of gaining valuable work experience, and for employers, to see how suited the student is to the role and to the workplace.

Achievement of the Units of Competency in this Skill Set may provide credit toward a range of qualifications in the Resources and Infrastructure Industries (RII) and Health (HLT) Training Packages.
Licensing / Regulatory Information
HLTAID011 Provide first aid
First Aiders should hold nationally recognised Statements of Attainment issued by a Registered Training Organisation for the nationally endorsed first aid unit/s of competency as specified in Safe Work Australia Code of Practice. First Aiders should refresh their knowledge and skills regularly and renew every three years. No occupational licensing, certification or specific legislative requirements apply to this skill set at the time of publication.
HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
Specific licensing/regulatory requirements relating to this competency, including requirements for refresher training should be obtained from the relevant national/state/territory Work Health and Safety Regulatory Authorities.

Licensing, legislative and certification requirements that apply to this unit can vary between states, territories and industry sectors. Users must check requirements with relevant body before applying the unit.
