Description
This skill set reflects the skill requirements for individuals seeking approval under either the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) or the Defence Aviation Safety Authority (DASA) regulatory system to perform ultrasonic inspection of aircraft structure and items of aeronautical product at AS 3669 Level 2.
Pathway Information
These units provide credit towards a Diploma of Aeroskills (Non-Destructive Testing). The MEA coded units also count towards the Diploma and Advanced Diploma of Aviation Maintenance Management. The MEM coded units count towards Diploma qualifications in the MEM Metal and Engineering Training Package.

Target Group
This skill set is for holders of aircraft engineer licences, qualified aircraft maintenance engineers (AMEs) and aviation tradespersons employed on aircraft and component maintenance plus other tradespersons employed in component maintenance workshops seeking approval under either the CASA or DASA regulatory system to perform ultrasonic inspection of aircraft structure and items of aeronautical product at AS 3669 Level 2.
