Description

The Certificate IV in Leadership and Mentoring is a course which may be customised to a specific industry or community environment. Learners may progress to Certificate IV or Diploma in an industry area or it may assist in entrance to some University courses.

Packaging Rules
To achieve the Certificate IV in Leadership and Mentoring, participants must successfully complete a total of eight (8) units comprising of:
- five (5) core units and;
- three (3) elective units.
1. Core Units

All five (5) core units must be completed.

2. Elective Units

Select three (3) elective units from any currently endorsed Training Package or Accredited course at AQF level 4 to bring the course up to a minimum of 270 nominal hours. One (1) elective unit may be chosen from AQF level 3 or AQF level 5.

Elective units should be relevant to the key client group, job outcome or local industy requirements and the qualification level. It is recommended that one (1) elective unit should have a Work Health and Safety (WHS) focus.

Entry Requirements
To gain entry into Certificate IV in Leadership and Mentoring a participant must:
i. have successfully completed a Certificate III in Leadership or equivalent qualification
or
ii. have current work related experience
and
iii. undergo a formal interview to determine suitability for entry into this course

Additional requirements: for online delivery, participants must be currently employed and working as, or aspiring to become a supervisor or manager.
