Description

The course is designed to give people with trade training the ability to work in the maintenance field, dealing mainly with fixed plant maintenance.

On completion of the course, students should be able to:
- Identify machine malfunction, determine if the error is mechanical, hydraulic or pneumatic
- identify an electrical fault
- design a maintenance schedule for an item of fixed plant equipment
- keep computer based maintenance records
- understand preventative maintenance and implement a preventative maintenance
regime
- work without supervision.
